If records were perfect, and everyone in our families kept good notes, identified people/dates/locations in pictures,etc., genealogy would be a slam-dunk.  As it is, information is often missing, contradictory, and misleading.  Sometimes the answer cannot be found, and we can only hope that someone else knows the details we are looking for, and that we cross paths with them.
